As a Christian, I can’t vote for a candidate that supports abortion. Life starts in the heart of God. The Bible establishes that before we were formed in the bellies of our mothers, He already knew us. (Jeremiah 1:5) In the eyes of God, please hear this, killing a child in the belly of his/her mom, is the same as killing a child who is already born. Think about that for a minute!

As a Christian, I can’t vote for a candidate that supports same sex marriages and passionately endorses the destruction of the Biblical family unit. God knows best! He called many things an abomination including homosexuality. It is not the only sin, but it is the only sin that is aggressively demanding recognition, approval from the law, and approval from God’s people, but I don’t see them seeking approval from Muslims.

As a Christian, I can’t support a candidate that refuses to stand side by side, in full cooperation, with the nation of Israel. Nobody messes with Israel and get away with it. Blessings and curses flow directly and depend strictly on our treatment of Israel. (Genesis 12:3) Israel is the center of the world, not the United States.

As a Christian, I can’t support a candidate that endorses government control. Even God gave us a free will. The government’s purpose is limited to the protecting our nation, to keeping our infrastructure in good condition and to the protecting of the law of the land [The Constitution]. Outside of that we, the people, decide what we want to eat, where we want to go, what we want to do, how we want to do it, and what we want to have in accordance with the law.

I can’t support a candidate that promotes laziness and overwhelms society with government handouts. My Bible tells me that if you don’t work, you don’t deserve to eat. (2 Thessalonians 3:10) Laziness is indeed destroying our society, that is because the Bible tells us in Proverbs 10:4, “Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.” (NIV)

As a Christian, I can’t support a candidate that over taxes me. God Himself only asks for 10% plus whatever else you choose to give from your heart cheerfully. I proudly pay my taxes, but I most also provide for my family according to First Timothy 5:8. Leave the money I work for in my hands; I’d rather support God’s Kingdom than government failed programs.

As a Christian I can’t support a candidate that is weak in the protection of the people that are called to serve and protect this country. The Bible tells me that one of the functions of a Godly government is to protect us from evil according to Romans 13:4-5. We are in trouble when that government becomes evil itself and attempt to paralyze its citizens from the ability to defend themselves. I have a problem when one of our dear soldiers, is left in a prison in Mexico for seven months over some foolishness.

You may say, we should not take into consideration a political candidate’s religious views. To that I respond, that if a candidate practices these Godly fundamental issues, it will be a good foundation for everything else.

I must also say that as a Christian, we are running out of options. Prophetically speaking I see the day when we will look for The Constitution to display laws to protect our freedom to be Christians and that freedom will be taken. We will look for fairness in the court of law and we will only see injustice. Christians in other nations are currently being persecuted, but the day will come when the United States government will openly and without reservation persecute the Christians of America.
